Webinar: Art and Healing

Join us for this month's Virtual Community Webinar. We have explored this topic in our Blog and on our Podcast. Now we will be hosting a webinar lead by Dr. Carole Weaver, PhD. She has written books on this topic and has so much wisdom to share! 

Science proves that art can change our body chemistry and foster healing. From the art that has dominated hospital decor for the past decades, to the  efficacy of Tibetan singing bowls to cure pancreatic cancer.  This special dimension of the mind/body connection is an exciting adjunct to wholistic and alternative medicine.  

The art that helped heal me (Carole), as described in Side Effects: the Art of Surviving Cancer will introduce this theme.  Then we will explore the importance of authenticity in choosing specific art that sparks energy, and leads toward a compassionate

perspective on the artist's life, and perhaps even the viewer's creativity. Responding to works of art in a Power Point and discussion will be the interactive portion of the webinar.
